Pippin Hill’s Red Pump 2019 is now available in the Tasting Room and on our online store! Our popular Red Pump is even better this year, with the addition of Tannat. This gives it that sweet nose which brings to mind figs, ripe strawberries and black currants followed by deep raisin, date and prune flavors on the palate. The finish is slightly oaky with a nice light acidity and tannins. This wine is the perfect representation of the grapes in this blend: Cab Franc, Chambourcin, Merlot, Tannat, and a touch of Viognier!
We suggest serving at room temp or slightly chilled at a backyard barbecue, and join us in the Tasting Room to try it for yourself! Pro-Tip: Our Wine Expert Brooks Hoover suggests pairing it with Chef Ian’s Pippin Sliders or Coffee Carrot Cake.
